For me, these illustrations using vintage portraits of people, were an exercise to stretch my imagination and Photoshop skills. Most of them were created while I was working toward an undergrad degree in Photography. Besides the figures, the majority of the assets were my own photos. As I worked on details, sometimes magnified to 200%, I felt an intimacy with the figures. They have been taken out of context totell a new story and I wondered how they would have felt about that. Were their grandchildren unknowingly friends of mine? Did they die young? How many children did they have? What did they do for a living? Who were they?
